Kourtney Kardashian broke down in tears as she spoke candidly about the toll IVF treatment took on her, both mentally and physically.
The 43-year-old Poosh founder has been open about her plans to have a baby with her husband Travis Barker, with the pair turning to IVF in the hopes of getting pregnant.
However, the couple decided to stop the treatment after it became "a lot" and negatively impacted Kourtney's mental health.
"We made a decision to really put all of our energy that we were putting towards like trying to have a baby, into our wedding.
"We had decided to put IVF on hold," she said in a confessional during the latest episode of The Kardashians.
"Like the physical and mental toll that it can take on me, I think we felt it was really important to just really not think about it and just really enjoy the process of like thinking about our wedding," Kourtney added as she started welling up with tears.
Kourtney, who shares three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, has been open about her dreams of having another baby in recent months.
"Travis and I want to have a baby, and so my doctor took us down this road of doing IVF," she told her mum Kris Jenner during a previous episode of their reality show.
The TV personality added: "It hasn’t been the most amazing experience.
"Every single person on social media is always like 'Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s pregnant, Kourtney’s gained so much weight'.
"It’s so rude to comment on people when you have no idea what they’re actually going through. The medication they’re giving me, they put me into menopause. … Literally into menopause."
Kourtney also recently revealed she had placed her husband on a "sex ban" as she talked about doing an Ayurvedic Panchakarma cleanse.
"It's to reset your body. You do all of that - and it's cleaning out [the toxins from] your tissues. And then you go into this spa and do treatments every day for four hours.
"Everything is very ritualistic and has a purpose, and it's fascinating. I was doing it mostly for cleansing my body [in preparation to] hopefully have a baby," she told WSJ.
