Helen Flanagan has opened up about a really tough moment in her life—saying goodbye to the £1 million family home she once dreamed would be her forever place, reported the Daily Mail.
The Coronation Street star, known for playing Rosie Webster, revealed that she’s had to sell the eight-bedroom house she bought with her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair just before they broke up in 2022. Now, at 33 and raising three children on her own, Helen says she’s preparing to move into a much smaller home.
Speaking on The Declutter Hub podcast, she got candid about the emotional and financial impact of the move. “It actually makes me sad that I’m going to be leaving soon because I actually put so much effort into it,” she admitted. “When we moved I put like a lot of my savings into doing the house up and making it look really beautiful.”
She described the house as “a big house”—with eight bedrooms, it became a lot to manage, both practically and financially. Helen explained that keeping it all going on her own was simply too much.
Even though downsizing is tough, she’s trying to stay grounded, saying she doesn’t want to sound like she’s not “down to earth” by worrying about it too much. Still, it’s clear this change hasn’t been easy, especially after putting so much of her time, energy, and savings into turning the house into a home.
The actress has always been open about the highs and lows of her personal life, and fans are already rallying around her for staying so honest during such a challenging time.
