A family paid tribute to a “loving, kind and caring” man on what would have been his 34th birthday.
Adam Ellison was stabbed in Market Place, Prescot, on November 4, 2017 following an altercation with two men on a scrambler bike.
During the altercation, the then-29-year-old was stabbed in the neck with an unknown weapon.

Friends and a number of passers-by went to his aid and called 999 as the offenders rode off in the direction of Tesco supermarket, but Adam was pronounced dead in hospital shortly after 2am.
Adam would have turned 34 yesterday (February 7) and family marked the day with a tribute on Facebook.
It was posted on the ADAM Foundation 's Facebook page and said: “Happy Heavenly 34th Birthday Adam, What should have been a celebration with you can never be."
The message, which was signed from "your heartbroken mum and dad", continued: “Adam was loving, kind and caring and should still be with his family, the hole he has left in our family will never be healed."
Though an investigation is ongoing, Adam's killer has not been brought to justice.
In November 2021, Merseyside Police issued a renewed appeal to catch the person responsible.
Adam's family urged anyone with any information to come forward.
They added: "We won't be able to see Adam ever again and only have memories of our beloved son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin.
"Love you so much Adam, we'll never give up on getting Justice for you and for all of our family and friends - your heartbroken mum and dad".
