The heartbroken family of Sharon Hutchison who went missing from Dundee last month have paid tribute to their "amazing mum" after a body was discovered in the search for her last week.
Her daughter Ashleigh Hutchison said there were "no words" to describe the pain her family were going through after confirming Sharon's passing on Monday evening.
The 54-year-old was last seen in the early hours of Saturday July 30 at Provost Road in Dundee. Nine days later a body was found in the search for her in the city's Sandeman Street shortly after 1pm on August 8.
Polic e said they informed Sharon's family of the discovery at the time.
Ashleigh said: "We as a family are devastated to let everyone know of the passing of our Mum Sharon.
"No words written can ever explain the pain we are all going through right now.
"The most amazing partner, daughter, mother, sister, auntie, granny and friend. Your light will forever shine on in us all. Rest peacefully mum, you are love."
A Police Scotland spokesperson previously said: "At around 1.15pm on Monday, 8 August, 2022 the body of a woman was found at Sandeman Street, Dundee.
"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. The family of missing person Sharon Hutchison have been informed."
