Heartbroken dad 'to find answers' after son, 20, found dead at Sneinton home

An inquest has opened into the death of a young man who was found dead at his home address. Robbie Harry Terry Robert Wilkin died at a property in Sneinton Hermitage on October 8 last year.

He was born on August 13, 2001 and died aged 20. Robbie's dad attended the opening inquest at Nottingham Council House held on Friday (May 6).

The hearing has been adjourned for the completion of further inquiries, with it to resume on a date to be fixed.

Miss Fiona Jane Gingell, Assistant Coroner for Nottinghamshire, has formally opened the inquest. She added: "We have a duty to investigate that."

She has expressed her condolences to Robbie's dad, adding: "I would like to take this opportunity to express my condolences. I hope you will get some answers and information.

"I am very sorry for your loss". Ms Gingell opened a number of inquests on Friday.
