A heartbroken dad says he 'can't afford' to bury his daughter who was found dead just days before Christmas.
The body of Vanessa Williams was discovered outside her home in Clarendon, Jamaica on December 12.
Police are investigating the cause of the 25-year-old teacher's death.
It would 'mean the world' for her father Conroy Williams be able to fly to the country to arrange her funeral, but he says the reality is he simply can't afford it.
Conroy, 55, of Smethwick, West Midlands said his daughter was a 'fantastic young lady.'
A fundraiser set up to pay for his flight and cover funeral costs has already raised over £600 - but Conroy says he needs more to give his daughter the send off she deserves.
Mr Williams, Vanessa's only living parent, has recently had to stop working due to a health condition and currently survives on Employment and Support Allowance.
The cost of living crisis has meant he won't be able fly out to the Caribbean for her funeral.
He told BirminghamLive : "I’m really struggling financially at the minute.
"It's been really difficult since she passed knowing I won’t be able to go home to see her one last time.
"I want to go home and help take care of some of her funeral arrangements but I just can’t afford to. It would mean the world to me."
Vanessa was discovered outside her home and the cause of her death is still unknown.
Clarendon police say investigations into her death are continuing into her death.
Mr Williams late daughter was described as a 'smart and ambitious' young lady.
Her said: "She was such a fantastic young lady.
"We kept in touch over text messages - she would tell me all about university and her teaching, she was so ambitious.
"She was a maths teacher at her school but she could teach every subject - she was so smart.
"She had her whole life ahead of her."
"The news of her death broke me - right before Christmas too.
"No parent should ever have to bury their child - but right now I can't even afford to do that."
