Many have paid tribute to the 'polite' Glasgow boy.

Christie Elizabeth said: "Such a cheery, always smiling young boy who I had the pleasure of teaching.

"What a cruel world and tragic accident this was. Condolences and hugs to his beautiful family. Thinking about you all. Sleep easy Artian."

Lindsay McMorrow added: "Heartbreaking news, we are so so saddened to hear of Artian's passing. He was a delightful lad and always so polite and cheerful. Our hearts go out to his family."

Another of the 13-year-old's teachers wrote: "Lovely, polite, funny, courteous little boy. A joy to teach. Heartfelt condolences to his family. You will never be forgotten, Artian.

"We are all devastated. He was such a lovely lad. Life and soul of the class. A really likeable boy."

Enquiries into the incident are currently ongoing.

Sergeant Nicholas Twigg said: “This is a deeply distressing time for Artian’s family as they try to come to terms with his death. It’s imperative we establish the full circumstances of the collision and our investigation remains ongoing.

“We are keen to hear from the driver of a white van who was in the area around the time of the incident and we would ask them to get in touch with us as we believe they could assist with our ongoing investigation.”
