Coronation Street actor Rob Mallard has teased Daniel and Daisy could split after she shares a kiss with Ryan.
Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) was planning to marry Daniel Osbourne ( Rob Mallard ) but their plans were derailed by a horrific acid attack at the hands of evil stalker Justin. Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) was hit by the corrosive liquid as he jumped between Daisy and Ryan, leaving him struggling with his own facial injuries and the emotional scars over what happened.
Rob has now teased that Daniel and Daisy could split as Ryan gets closer to Daisy. With the pair having already kissed once, and set to do it again next week, it looks like things will be getting more difficult for all involved.
Speaking exclusively to The Mirror, Rob revealed: "Daniel would be able to sympathise with Ryan more than Daisy in this situation.
"Ryan has been through a difficult time thinking that no one wants him and you can understand why someone would want to take anything they could get in this situation. I think the fact that Daisy’s doing it throws his head into chaos because she’s already had Ryan in the past. What does she want and what’s she doing really messes with his head."
He added: "The triangle between Daniel, Ryan and Daisy is going to get more intense."
Daniel and Daisy had their wedding postponed owing to the attack, but that doesn't mean Rob wouldn't want to see the two characters tie the knot again soon as he thinks they make a great couple.
Asked if they will eventually get married, he added: "I hope so. I think they work really well together. They have very different personalities but opposites attract don’t they? They make a good couple, an unlikely couple, but a good one."
Things turn tricky for Ryan and Daisy next week, after he learns of her deceit with Crystal.
"She knows she is fully in the wrong so she can only try and justify it from where her intentions were coming from, but she knows that it was not the right thing to do and she knows that lying about it was also not the right thing to do," Charlotte told the Metro.
"These are decisions she has made so she has to deal with the punishments now. Ryan’s reaction is entirely justified and it’s her own fault! She lies, she’s deceitful and she gets herself into these situations!"
