A young boy battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer for more than two years has been told he has only days to live by doctors.
Dylan Reid, 14, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia - a type of blood cancer that starts from white blood cells in the bone marrow - after coming out in a dark purple rash in November 2020.
The teen, who is originally from Longbenton, Newcastle but moved to Liverpool with his mum Kelly Ann Moor just weeks before his diagnosis, has undergone three rounds of chemotherapy and surgery to remove a tumour in a bid to kill off the cancerous cells affecting his blood.

Dylan also had a bone marrow transplant in hope of improving his condition but the family has been told by medical professionals that there is not nothing they can do after the cancer has spread to 90 percent of his body - leaving him with just days to live.
Kelly Ann, 37, told ChronicleLive: "The doctors called us over from the Ronald McDonald House. They pulled us into a room with about nine nurses and told us there was nothing else they could do.
"There's no more treatment available. He's been through everything. He's not strong enough to fight his cancer any more."
According to his mum, Dylan has remained cheerful despite the tragic prognosis and the teen has had one request as the family aim to tick off his bucket list.
She continued: "He wants to be around his family and his old friends. We don't know how long he has left. We don't know how quickly it will spread.
"The past three years have been absolutely miserable for Dylan. He's just not himself any more. He can't walk any more. It's heart-breaking."
One of Dylan's wishes was to play bingo and that came true over the weekend when Bongo's Bingo descended on his hospital room to play with friends and family, with Dylan described as "so happy and smiling" throughout.
The family have set up a fundraiser, which has already doubled the initial target of £1,000, in the hope of treating Dylan - who is a huge fan of Marvel movies and rapper Nicki Minaj - to as many happy memories as possible before his condition deteriorates further.
An all-night party at the Cosmic Ballroom on Stowell Street, Newcastle, on March 25 has been organised by his family to help boost the campaign.
All money raised will help provide anything Dylan wishes while he continues to fight and help alleviate some financial pressure on his family.
