A Dublin community has been rocked after a well-known store confirmed it will be closing its doors after over a century in business.
Hardware shop Edge & Sons in Fairview is up for sale after a whopping 106 years in the business. Speaking about the closure, owner Victor Edge told Dublin Live: " My years have caught up on me I’m afraid. Slowly but surely. I’ll be 77 in August."
When asked when the north inner-city store will close its doors, Victor said the store had only just gone up for sale. He added: "It could take months."

Through the years, Edge & Sons has had hundreds of loyal patrons making it a popular Fairview institution. Victor added: "We've always had great customers."
In fact, there is an Edges Hardware Appreciation Society page on Facebook with nearly 900 members that was set up a local customer.
