An inquest has opened into the death of a teenager who died at hospital. Samuel Cole Green was identified by his mum at the Queen's Medical Centre, run by Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH), in Derby Road.

He was born on March 10, 2008, and died at the age of 13. The hearing on Friday, May 6, has been adjourned for the completion of further inquiries.

Samuel died on July 8 last year. His mum was at the hospital at the time of his death, the inquest was told. Miss Fiona Jane Gingell, Assistant Coroner for Nottinghamshire, said: "I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere condolences to his family."
