Heart-breaking story behind Lush's new limited edition bath bomb

Lush is re-releasing one of its most popular products after the tragic death of the co-founders' grandson, Dexter.

The popular high street store was founded in 1995 by trichologist Mark Constantine, his wife Mo Constantine, and five other founders. Now, it boasts hundreds of stores across the globe.

The brand is renowned for its fresh, handmade cosmetics - especially its bath bombs. The popular Dragon's Egg bath bomb has gone gold in a bid to raise funds during Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

Co-founders Mark and Mo Constantine, as well as the rest of the Constantine family, are mourning the loss of seven-year-old Dexter Constantine-Tatchell. He was affectionately dubbed their 'Master of Dragons'.

To support and honour children like their beloved grandson, and other children facing cancer, Lush is supporting the launch of Dexter's Arc, a fundraising platform created with the support of registered charity Alice's Arc. Funds raised through Dexter's Arc will go towards non-animal testing research into Rhabdomyosarcoma.

A limited edition adaption of the best-selling Dragon's Egg bath bomb, 'Dexter's Dragon Egg' became available online on September 23, and landed in all Lush UK and Ireland stores on September 24, 2022. 100% of sales (minus VAT) will be going to Dexter's Arc, with the hope that £150k will be raised specifically for the purpose of non-animal tested research.
