Brendan Rodgers has joked he's been told Jose Mourinho is taking his job as Celtic manager, after the Fenerbahce refused to rule out managing in Scotland.
The former Manchester United and Chelsea boss admitted he could be interested in managing Celtic or Rangers in the future in a press conference ahead of the 3-1 loss in the Europa League.
Mourinho did, though, hail Rodgers as a "fantastic coach" as he insisted he is not looking for a new job currently even if a move to Glasgow is not a non-starter in the future.
Celtic boss Rodgers was quizzed on his take on Mourinho potentially coming to Scotland to manage in his press conference on Friday.
Laughing, Rodgers said: "Well, I've heard he's taking my job!
"He's a great man. You guys would love him up here, plenty headlines for you, instead of the boring Irish man that is sat here.
"He's good value, Jose and a top manager."
Asked whether Mourinho could bring any calm to Scottish football, Rodgers added: "Listen, I will give you no headline, I think you know the answer."

"In this moment, no, because I have a job," said Mourinho when asked if managing Celtic or Rangers in the future would interest him.
"It's a job that motivates me and demands loyalty. But why not in the future?
"People can say the Scottish league is a league of two teams, but it is a league of passion. Passion in football is everything.
"To play in empty stadiums and competitions where there is not that fire of the passion does not make any sense.
"Celtic and Rangers are two big clubs with incredible history also in Europe. I have lots of respect. They are big clubs with big fan bases, expectations.
"Celtic has a fantastic coach in Brendan [Rodgers]. Rangers has Ferguson now and I am not searching for a new job."
