“Boston averages the second-most 3-point attempts in the league, epitomizing the make-or-miss nature of the NBA. In their wins, the Celtics are connecting 40.3% of their deep balls. In losses, they are shooting 31.6%.”
“Averaging so many more 3s than 2s makes the team easier to defend,” suggests the B/R analyst. “If multiple Celtics hit a cold streak from deep, that could spell doom for Boston’s hopes of getting to the finals again.”

Or, perhaps, a midrange specialist like Jaylen Brown could find himself in his element at a critical point of the season — we’ll take a positive outlook on Dakhil’s concerns for the moment.
But he does have a point. When opposing clubs have found ways to gum up Boston’s 3-point heavy offense, it hasn’t gone well for the Celtics.
