Arsenal fans have theorised that transfer target Mykhaylo Mudryk is already in London ahead of an anticipated move to the club this January. football.london understands the Gunners lodged an opening offer of £55million to land the winger last week, but it was rejected by Shakhtar Donetsk.
Since then, talks have continued to try and find a breakthrough, with recent reports claiming a second bid worth £62million has been made. It comes after the CEO of the Ukraine outfit confirmed that further talks would be held to try and reach an agreement over a deal.
Sergei Palkin told club media last week: "Now, literally in five minutes, I will have a phone conversation with Arsenal. We are open to negotiations, ready to exchange ideas and figures. If we will agree, then let it be so.”

It remains to be seen if the latest offer will be enough to reach an agreement or if further talks will have to be held to ensure progress. While Mudryk has been no stranger to hints over a transfer on social media, some fans believe that he is already in London ahead of a switch.
Some previously claimed that a picture of him and his gym equipment may hint at the move, while the latest comes from a picture of him playing tennis. Some claimed that the sponsor in the background Generali suggested he was in London, though the sponsor is Italian-based.
They also sponsor the current Austrian open, although they do have offices in London. Elsewhere, other fans thought Mudryk had to be in the capital after linking the forward with Wimbledon.
One said: "Mudryk plays tennis. Wimbledon is a tennis tournament. Wimbledon is located in London. He's ready for us."
A second added: "#Mudryk in his new story appears to be playing Tennis on a hard court coloured green. We all know about Wimbledon having grass courts which are green in colour on the outskirts of London. Is he hinting that he wants to move to North London? #Arsenal."
Another said: "Mudryk playing tennis which means he’s in Wimbledon, which is in London. You know what else is in London? Arsenal HQ."
It remains to be seen if Mudryk is truly in the UK or if the Arsenal fans may be jumping the gun on this announcement. For all the latest updates on any potential deal click here.
