Allan Saint-Maximin is back in training and is pushing for a return against Brentford next weekend. The winger has not featured since the 1-1 draw away to Wolves with Eddie Howe opting against risking him at Fulham.
Saint-Maximin trained on the eve of the 4-1 victory at Craven Cottage andHowe said: "Yeah, hopefully (Saint-Maximin will be back soon). It’s always difficult to give a guarantee, but he did train with the team on Friday.
"He trained well. But, for me, it was too early to involve him. We need to make sure when he comes back he’s fit enough to do himself and the team justice. Hopefully, with a good training week under his belt, he’ll be closer."
United will also look to step up training for injured duo Alexander Isak and Jonjo Shelvey this week. Isak picked up an injury on international duty with Sweden while Shelvey was hurt away to Benfica in pre-season.
