'He's adapted so well' - Pascal Struijk hails Brenden Aaronson's Leeds United start

Leeds United defender Pascal Struijk admits he has been impressed by how well team mate Brenden Aaronson has settled into life in the Premier League.

Struijk was the beneficiary of Aaronson's mazy run and shot against Crystal Palace which saw Leeds take the lead against the Eagles on Sunday afternoon. The US international's shot rebounded straight into the path of the Whites defender who fired home past Vicente Guaita to make it 1-0 to Leeds at Selhurst Park.

While they were unable to come away with a result from the capital, losing 2-1 to the Eagles, Aaronson's quality was clear for everyone to see.

Leeds paid a lofty sum for Aaronson who had no Premier League experience prior to his summer move from Red Bull Salzburg.

However, the early indications are that Jesse Marsch and co have pulled off a blinder in landing the 21-year-old who has shown plenty of promise so far this term.

And speaking following the defeat to Crystal Palace, Struijk was effuse in his praise of the American midfielder who has settled well at Elland Road.

"He's really good," said Struijk. "I think you can see his quality on the pitch. I think in the first couple of games, he's shown he's really good. Especially against Chelsea with all the running and hard work off the ball as well.

"I'm really pleased for him that he's adapted so well since he came. He's a really good player."
