'He'll win the Champions League' - Manchester United fans react to Jose Mourinho links to PSG

In December 2018, Manchester United sacked Jose Mourinho after a disappointing start to the season. The club had hoped that the Portuguese manager could bring the halcyon days back to Old Trafford after Louis van Gaal had failed to do just that.

Mourinho started well, winning the League Cup and the Europa League in his first season, but he ended his second season without a trophy, failing to win the FA Cup final and coming second in the Premier League - the latter being an achievement he described as his greatest in management. The third season, however, was where the wheels fell off.

After Mourinho left United it seemed like he had lost his magic touch. And when he joined Tottenham Hotspur and failed to get the team up to scratch - resulting in him being unceremoniously sacked before the Carabao Cup final - those worries seemed to be confirmed.

However, Mourinho has rebuilt his career at Roma. He only managed a sixth-place finish in Serie A but won the UEFA Conference League in his first season at the helm.

And it seems that other teams are taking note. According to The Telegraph, Paris Saint-Germain are considering appointing Mourinho as their next permanent manager. United fans have been sharing their reactions to the news on Twitter.
