Manchester United supporters are unsure why Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Donny van de Beek were both initially selected to play in the club’s friendly with Real Betis.
The Reds will be looking for a much better showing than the 4-2 loss to La Liga strugglers Cadiz on Wednesday. Erik ten Hag has fielded a side that could be similar to the one that takes on Burnley in the League Cup on December 21 given the probable omission of many of those who played in the World Cup.
David de Gea comes back into the line-up while Scott McTominay takes the armband again and Anthony Martial leads the line once more. However, fans were puzzled about the selections of Wan-Bissaka and Van de Beek, before the latter withdrew from the line-up just before kick-off for an unspecified reason.

The former has played just four minutes of football all season having not found favour with his new boss. He started his first game since pre-season against Cadiz but failed to impress or register anything notable.
Meanwhile, Van de Beek has been unproductive during his seven outings this season and has failed to see out a full 90 minutes. Prior to Van de Beek's withdrawal, supporters on Twitter were not impressed with their inclusions given that some believe their future at United will be coming to an end soon.

@DullyKunz: I don’t know what the van de Beek guy is still doing.
@Shreyas56: Sell Donny permanently in Jan. He is of no use!

@mooserman: This is the game where VDB, Williams and Wan-Bissaka play themselves out of the squad.
