'He has the same quality' - Momo Sissoko compares Luis Diaz to former Liverpool team-mate

Former Liverpool man Momo Sissoko believes Liverpool fans will 'love' new signing Luis Diaz when they get to see him play at Anfield in a red shirt.

There has been plenty of excitement surrounding the arrival of Diaz from Porto - and Sissoko understands why.

Diaz is a tricky wide man with an eye for a goal - leading to Sissoko comparing the Colombian to his former Liverpool team mate Luis Garcia.

Sadio Mane currently occupies that left sides forward role in the Liverpool side and has done for six years, but Diaz will now provide fierce competition for that.

And Sissoko has highlighted how the Anfield faithful won't take long to fall in love with the Colombian.

"He is a very good signing," Sissoko told AS. "I have seen Luis Diaz play with Porto, and I liked him a lot. He is a very talented player, he is young, and Liverpool needed a player with his conditions.

"Luis is going to enter the hearts of the fans very quickly. He is a player who has quality and has a goal. If he shows his quality from the start, the Liverpool fans are going to love him.

"He [Luis Diaz] has the same quality as Luis Garcia, both with a lot of quality on the wing. Luis Diaz has a lot of talent and a lot of quality. In Liverpool, with a coach like Klopp, he will adapt very quickly and show all his talent."

Klopp is known for improving players and Sissoko believes that will be the same once Diaz arrives at the AXA Training Centre.

"Jurgen Klopp is going to make Diaz take another step towards being a great player," Sissoko continued.

"Klopp is a perfect coach for him because he trusts his players, and that is going to help him adapt and do things well.

"If Jurgen Klopp sees that Luis Diaz is fine, he will put him in from the first game. Little by little, he will enter the main team."
