Hayley Erbert still has a 'medical team' on hand

Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert are preparing for their tour

Hayley Erbert still has a "medical team" around her as she prepares to go on tour.

The brunette beauty - who suffered a cranial hematoma at the end of 2023 - is currently preparing to go on a dancing tour with her husband, Derek Hough, and Hayley has revealed that she still has the support of a medical team.

Speaking to 'Entertainment Tonight' about her recovery, Hayley shared: "I just listen to my body.

"Being a dancer, I feel like I’m really in tune with my body."

Despite this, Hayley is aware that she's still on the road to recovery, as she prepares for the 'Dance for the Holidays' tour.

The dancer - who married Derek in 2023 - said: "I do have a medical team still around."

Hayley and Derek recently performed together on 'Dancing With the Stars', and the 39-year-old star subsequently admitted that he struggled to find the perfect song for their routine.

Derek - who ultimately chose to dance to 'Beautiful Things' by Benson Boone - told Us Weekly: "It’s funny because when I was trying to think of a song, I was actually kind of struggling, to be honest with you. Then I heard this rendition.

"It was a very stripped down version."

Derek was determined to add a little bit of "emotion" to the track.

He explained: "I was like, ‘Wait, I feel like I’m hearing the song for the first time.’ I’ve heard this song so many times - it is almost overplayed. But it’s a great song and then I heard this.

"I was like, ‘Wait, I’m actually hearing the lyrics and the lyrics are kind of telling the story so beautifully.’ So then I added strings and violins and cellos to add a little bit more emotion in there."
