Hayes stabbing victim named as man, 21, charged with murder and another arrested

A man fatally stabbed in west London has been named, as police charged a 21-year-old with his murder.

James Donnelly, 45, from Hayes, was pronounced dead after he was found with a slash wound at a residential property in Hayes shortly before 10am on Saturday.

Leo Price, 21, of Blair Close, Hayes, was arrested around 3.30am on Sunday on suspicion of murder.

He was charged on Monday with one count of murder, and three counts of assaulting an emergency worker, Scotland Yard has confirmed.

He has been remanded in custody and was due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Another man, aged 51, has been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and theft, and remained in custody on Tuesday.

Police and paramedics were called to a home in Station Road, Hayes, Hillingdon, shortly before 10am on Saturday to reports a man had been found dead.

They discovered Mr Donnelly with a slash wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

His family has been informed.
