Have your say: What is Merseyside's best walk when it's hot?

There are many glorious routes in Merseyside that can provide some stunning summer walks, such Calderstones park, Sefton park and Croxteth park. We also have some stunning beaches such as the Sefton coastal path and New Brighton promenade.

Not only are these locations perfect for a walk, they provide fantastic summer holiday fun for children and they make the best spot for a summer's day picnic.

According to the Met Office temperatures are set to dip but Paul Gundersen, chief weather forecaster, told the Mirror the weather "will return to near normal for the time of year" with highs of 20C expected soon. As the nice weather approaches, summer walks become more and more popular in Merseyside and we would like to find out which is your go to walking location.

There is something for everyone from sunbathing and picnics to bike rides and long walks. We would love to know your go-to location and activity - so let us know in the comments.
