A series of exciting craft beer events are coming to Glasgow, with the city's beer fans able to look forward to an evening of delicious food paired with beers from some of Scotland's top breweries next month.
Held around a communal table, the first Hauf&Hauf dinner, which will feature Glasgow brewer Up Front Brewing, will take place at the Haberdashery on Sauchiehall Street on February 16.
New events team Hauf&Hauf, the brainchild of Adam Currie and Brittany Oat, were inspired by the Scots term 'hauf an a hauf' (a whisky and a half-pint of beer) to create a series of exciting events pairing craft beers in imaginative ways.

The first of which will see guests enjoy a four-course curated menu that has been paired with some exciting Scottish beers, as well as a craft beer cocktail.
The over-18 event is priced at £75.61 per person with limited tickets available via Eventbrite.
“Having run craft beer events in New York, Paris, and Boston, we were excited to bring experiences to Glasgow while helping to support the local breweries,” said Adam. “We moved back home during the pandemic and noticed that, once things re-opened, there weren’t a lot of beer events to showcase Scotland’s incredible breweries.”
Hauf&Hauf is hoping to bring some favourite events from their time abroad to Glasgow, including a sold-out craft beer cruise they did in Manhattan, and a beer brunch in Boston.
“We’re also planning to run experiential tours to breweries both in and around Glasgow, and further afield,” Adam added. “We like to put a twist on things and allow people to get involved with brewing, try beers that are still in development, and spend quality time with the brewers.”
The February beer dinner is the first in a series of three at The Haberdashery. The next two will be on March 23 and April 20, featuring a new menu and other local breweries.
The menu is designed and prepared by Akara Bakery chef Lewa Thomas. In addition to each course being complimented by a different pour from Up Front Brewing, the evening will begin with a unique craft beer cocktail, featuring gin from Arrochar Alps. Guests will have the opportunity to learn from and chat with the brewer and distiller throughout the night.
“Supporting Scottish breweries has never been more critical,” said Brittany. “It’s been hard to watch the hospitality sector — an industry that I grew up in — struggle so much over the last few years.
“I feel like every week I hear about another brewery or another pub closing. For us, it’s vital that every event we do gives back to the community and helps the breweries.”
The Hauf&Hauf beer cocktail will also be available to purchase after the dinner, with 100% of proceeds from the additional cocktail sales being donated to the Everlasting Food Bank and the Drumchapel Food Bank.
