Hasim Rahman Jr is willing to fight Jake Paul on his rival KSI's undercard after their fight collapsed last month.
Rahman Jr was set to go toe-to-toe with Paul at Madison Square Garden last weekend but the fight was cancelled by the YouTube star who accused his rival of missing their contracted weight limit. Since the news broke, Paul has offered to fight bitter rival KSI -real name JJ Olatunji - for free as the headline of his August 27 event at London's O2 arena after Alex Wassabi pulled out.
However KSI will now meet rapper Swarmz instead which leaves both Paul and Rahman Jr without a fight. But Rahman Jr is willing to donate his fight purse if needed to the fighters who missed their undercard bouts on the cancelled August 6 bill. "I told KSI I will fight Jake Paul for free on his undercard for free at the O2 at the cruiserweight limit," Rahman Jr said during a Twitter Spaces chat.
"I also let it be known that I would put the fight back on with Jake Paul and my purse would only go to the other 50 per cent of the fighters that missed out on our previous undercard." Shortly after Rahman Jr made the offer publicly, KSI's manager Mams Taylor tweeted: "In light of Rahman’s offer: 1 Jake Paul v Hasim Rahman Jr at cruiserweight and he will fight for free at the sold out O2 arena in London.
"2, MVP can track all their pay-per-view numbers and claim them and the revenue generated by them. (Before anyone says Misfits wants the clout or pay-per-view numbers) Take the fight Jacob." It remains unclear if Paul will accept the offer but he has teased some fight news tomorrow on his social media.
Rahman Jr weighed in at 206.6lb on Friday in an attempt to embarrass his rival by claiming he could have made their limit. The rules stipulated that Rahman Jr could weigh in at 205lb on the Friday ceremony before being allowed to shift up to 215lb on the morning of the fight.

However it now appears he would be confident of rekindling their rivalry and making the previously agreed 200lb weight limit. Rahman Jr had accused his rival of deliberately backing out of the clash, saying: "Jake and his ‘team’ cancelled this fight, not me! The fight isn’t happening on their accord not MINE!
"I'm a bridgerweight, otherwise known as heavyweight outside the WBC, I signed the contract to make 200lb in the three weeks, but my body wouldn't let me do it. Where in boxing do you see them cancel fights a week in advance? There are penalties involved, I'll fight you for the $5,000 minimum. I'd beat this man with one hand, just like I did in the gym."
