Has Boston Celtics star forward Jayson Tatum cracked the NBA’s top five players?

After making All-NBA First Team for the first time in his career in the 2021-22 season, star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum undeniably cracked the list of the top 15 players in the league simply by achieving that status. But after putting in a near Most Valuable Player level performance towards the end of the season, speculation began to build that the St. Louis native might be even further up the ladder of NBA stardom than that.

A trip to the 2022 NBA Finals that ended two wins shy of a title helped push that narrative, with some people suggesting that Tatum has broken into the elite of the elite, a top five status in the Association when the Duke product is playing healthy.

Among them is one of the hosts of the CLNS Media “A-List” podcast, A. Sherrod Blakely, who recently made his case for Tatum having ascended to such lofty heights when little things like nondisplaced wrist fractures aren’t getting in the way.

Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear Blakely’s argument in full.
