Harvey Elliott has hinted that he his nearing a return to full fitness in a message to Liverpool fans on social media.
The 18-year-old recently returned to training, having been out since suffering a fracture-dislocation of his ankle against Leeds in September.
Elliott had begun to break into Jurgen Klopp’s side, with the match at Elland Road being his third consecutive Premier League start for the Reds.
Despite his injury halting the momentum he had already built up in the opening weeks of the season, the former Fulham youngster has remained positive on social media, posting regular updates on his journey back to full fitness.

And the teenager left a somewhat cryptic clue in his latest post, alongside a picture of him playing for Liverpool .
“See you soon reds”, the caption read accompanied by a winking emoji, “enjoy the break.”
Following the club’s win over Crystal Palace on Sunday, the Premier League’s winter break means that Liverpool’s next game is against Cardiff City in the FA Cup on February 6.
While there is no set date for Elliott’s return to the side, Liverpool’s coaching team have spoken positively about the midfielder’s performances in training.
“He didn’t lose his football brain during the time he was off,” assistant coach Pep Lijnders said last week. “Yesterday, it would be a crime not playing him if you see him train like that.
“Some players don’t knock on the door, they run through it. And Harvey is a player like that in each session.
“But he is coming back from a long-term injury so we need to take our time. The most important thing is he gets team fit and prepares himself well for the moment he is really ready.
