Harvard caught in the crossfire: Israel-Hamas war roils Ivy League campus

America's prestigious Ivy League universities have found themselves embroiled in controversy since the October 7 Hamas attack on Israel and Israel’s ensuing bombardment of Gaza. While some students are protesting loudly against the war, others are denouncing a rise in anti-Semitism. This tense situation is putting the institutions' leaders in the hot seat, with pressure from politicians and donors. Harvard's President Claudine Gay has been backed by the school's governing board despite an unconvincing appearance before Congress, while the head of the University of Pennsylvania, Elizabeth Magill, has been forced to resign. Our correspondent Fanny Allard reports from the campus of Harvard, with Fraser Jackson.
