Harry: The Interview on ITV - new trailer teases big revelations

A brand new trailer has dropped for Prince Harry’s blockbuster interview airing this Sunday on ITV.

In the one-minute clip, the Duke of Sussex reveals to ITV News at Ten presenter Tom Bradby that he still believes in the monarchy, though doesn’t know whether he will play a part in its future. He also fails to confirm whether he will attend his father’s coronation, which will be in May.

Instead, he says: “There’s a lot that can happen between now and then... But, the door is always open.  The ball is in their court.  There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it.”

In the clip he also tells Bradby that, “I don’t know how staying silent is ever going to make things better”.

Bradby asks: “Wouldn’t your brother say to you, ‘Harry, how could you do this to me after everything? After everything we went through?’  Wouldn’t that be what he would say?” To which Harry replies: “He would probably say all sorts of different things”.

The ITV interview is being released in anticipation of Prince Harry’s memoir, Spare, which will be released on January 10.

Early leaked snippets of the forthcoming publication, which have been seen by the Guardian, have revealed that Prince Harry claims that it was Prince William and Kate who told him to dress up as a Nazi in 2005 and that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge “howled with laughter” when they saw Harry in the costume.

In the memoir, the Duke of Sussex also claims that William physically attacked him in 2019, knocking him to the floor, and leaving him with a physical injury.

Bradby is a longtime friend of the Duke. They met over 20 years ago when Bradby worked as ITV’s royal correspondent and have worked together on two documentaries about Lesotho. Bradby also travelled with Harry and Meghan in 2019, filming the ITV documentary Harry & Meghan: An African Journey.

But Bradby does not pull his punches in the upcoming ITV interview, asking the Prince, “Some people will say you’ve railed against invasions of your privacy all your life and the accusation will be here are you invading the privacy of your nearest and dearest without permission, now that will be the accusation.”

Prince Harry replies: “That would be the accusation from people that don’t understand or don’t want to believe that my family have been briefing the press.”
