Harry suggests 'upset' William and Kate were jealous Meghan did 'better job' than them

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle 's bombshell docuseries came to an end yesterday, one comment in particular stood out.

Harry did not hold back during Volume II of his Netflix docuseries entitled Harry & Meghan, in which he outlined his marriage and their life in Montecito, California.

The final three episodes also detailed the royal couple's fallout with senior members of the Royal Family.

The Duke of Sussex implied in the Netflix documentary that the fallout between his own family and the Firm was because Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton were jealous of the former Suits star.

He believes Meghan's popularity over that of the Cambridge's led to a sudden increase in negative press stories about the Princess of Wales.

Opening up about the deteriorating relationship between his wife and immediate family, Harry admitted in the series that he believed it was down to popularity.

He went on to imply that Will and Kate were jealous of Meghan’s growing persona with the public.

In one of the episodes, Harry asserts: "The issue is, when someone who's marrying in, who should be a supporting act, is then stealing the limelight, or is doing the job better than the person who was born to do this, that upsets people."

This issue, Harry explained, was after an event at Buckingham Palace with the senior royals which saw Meghan make the front page instead of Kate, who was only included as a smaller, feature image.

The Duke of Sussex said that this was the "first time that the penny dropped" that his family did not like who he married.

He added: "It shifts the balance, because you've been led to believe the only way that your charities can succeed, the only way that your reputation can be grown or improved, is if you're in the front page of those papers.

"But the media are the ones who choose who to put on the front page."

"On the front page of The Telegraph, Meghan," Harry said, while Meghan herself noted, "I went 'Oh my god.'"

Harry then recalled Meghan saying "but it's not my fault, and I said, 'I know, and my mum felt the same way.'"

In the newest episode of their Netflix tell all, Harry also admitted that he has lost friends since leaving the royal family in 2020.

Opening up about this, the Duke said: “I’ve lost a few friends in this process as well. … I mean, I came [to Los Angeles] because I was changed. I changed to the point that I’d outgrown my environment.

"Therefore, this was the most obvious place to come. You know, it’s one of the places where I think my mom was probably gonna end up living potentially.”

On the documentary for the streaming giant, Harry also spoke of his late mum Princess Diana - once again - compared her to his daughter Lilibet, saying: “I think at the moment, I see a lot of my wife in Archie.

“I see a lot of my mom in Lili. She's very Spencer-like. She's got the same blue eyes. … Golden-reddish hair.“
