Harry Styles' Watermelon Sugar video is the summer style inspo we've been waiting for

Do you remember what it was like to touch people? Us neither.

Somebody who may have memories more at his disposal of what it feels like to touch people - anyone! - is retro crusader himself, Harry Styles, whose new video for his song Watermelon Sugar features lots of, well, touching. In fact, it features so much frolicking that in the opening credits of the video, viewers are told that the video is "dedicated to touching."

While the sunny-filtered vid features the melodic tones of Styles' sultry voice, and the man himself gallivanting around with an army of fellow beautiful people, the big takeaway here, as ever with Styles, is the fashion. Because he really does put the style into Styles, doesn't he?

Staying true to his love of retro nostalgia, the 25-year-old Mancunian dons an array of Hawaiian shirts, his signature pearls and a host of Gucci garments (he has been something of an unofficial ambassador for the brand since 2015, but was appointed officially in 2018.)

The video begins with Styles sloping around in a pair of brown Gucci slacks and a knitted vest and pearls from the National Theatre Archive, which he finishes with a pair of translucent blue shades from vintage supplier, The Contemporary Wardrobe.

Later on in the heavenly four minutes, the former One Directioner can be seen cavorting in an ab-flashing cropped knit, ripped treads and a floral seventies scarf, all courtesy of Gucci. A few moments later, he rocks a knitted vest and multi-coloured shirt by The Contemporary Wardrobe, bold Gucci scarlet trews and heart-shaped sunglasses from the National Theatre Archive.

In amongst the vintage beauties and one-of-a-kind relics, this is one seriously lust-worthy video, which has indeed imparted a Watermelon Sugar high into all of us.
