Harry Styles will not have to face his stalker in court again after the offender admitted breaking a restraining order by barging into the star’s north London home.

Pablo-Diana Orero Tarazaga, 29, turned up unannounced at Styles’s house despite a court-ordered ban from going near the singer. Styles was at home at the time of the incident, on February 16, which led to Orero Tarazaga being charged.

The former One Direction star told a court in 2019 that stalking by Orero Tarazaga had left him “scared” and needing to upgrade his security.

Styles had been lined up as a witness against Orero Tarazaga once more, but the stalker admitted breaching a restraining order in the February incident and the Crown Prosecution Service has agreed to drop further charges.

Orero Tarazaga remains in secure custody until sentencing later this month.

Styles’ stalking ordeal began after he offered Orero Tarazaga money when the offender was sleeping rough at a bus stop outside his home in March 2019.

The singer went to buy food for the Spaniard, but then found Orero Tarazaga was following him, pushing money and notes through his letterbox. At one stage, the stalker tried to grab him as Styles went for a jog.

“I felt unsafe at home,” Styles told Hendon magistrates’ court in October 2019, revealing he had installed a panic lock on his bedroom door and beefed up security.

“I always felt safe at my house and I would always manage to have an intact sense of normality at home up until this point.”

Orero Tarazaga, who identifies as bi-gender, was handed a restraining order after being convicted of stalking the Brit Award-winning singer and actor that banned them from going within 250 metres of Styles or contacting him. But in February the stalker broke the order by returning to Styles’s home.

“On the date in question the defendant went to the address where Mr Styles was present,” an earlier hearing was told.

“The defendant forced entry to that address and during the course of the incident damaged a plant pot.”

Orero Tarazaga was accused of assaulting a female member of Styles’ staff in the same incident, criminal damage over the broken pot, and a charge of using violence to secure entry.

After entering not guilty pleas in June, a CPS review was conducted and those charges will be left on file when sentencing takes place on September 22 at Wood Green crown court.

The defendant is undergoing psychiatric assessments, and could be held in a secure hospital for mental health treatment instead of receiving a prison sentence.
