Model Kiko Mizuhara has denied rumours that she is dating Harry Styles.
The 28-year-old was linked to the former One Direction star earlier this week, after they followed one another on Instagram.
It was reported by the Daily Mail that Styles had ‘jetted to Tokyo several times’ over recent months, where he was thought to have first met with Mizuhara, who has also dabbled in film, music and fashion careers.
However, the Tokyo resident has now shut down the rumours for good, revealing that she has “no relationship” with the singer, who she has "never met."
“There is a report that Harry Styles and I have been in a relationship but I have no relationship with him, and I have never met him,” she wrote on Twitter in Japanese, adding a laughing emoji.
“The world is full of fake news,” she continued, adding: “People believe what they want to believe rather than questioning reality.”
She went on to reveal that she “didn’t know what to do” after receiving messages of “dislike” from “the [people] who saw the article written by a strange reporter.”
Mizuhara has previously modelled for fashion brands like Coach, Kenzo and Opening Ceremony, with whom she collaborated on a Disney-themed collection, and appeared in the 2010 film adaptation of Norwegian Wood.
Styles was previously linked to Victoria’s Secret model Camille Rowe, though the pair never publicly confirmed their romance and are thought to have parted ways last summer after a year of dating.
Reports suggested that the couple were kept apart by their busy schedules.
