Singer Harry Styles has released the trailer for his new album, Harry’s House.

The album, which will be released on May 20 and will contain 13 tracks, sees Grammy award-winning Styles return to his musical roots.

The trailer itself, which was released on Wednesday, shows clips of nature and screaming crowds, before cutting to Styles on an empty stage, wearing jeans and a peasant blouse.

As he moves to the centre of the stage, a large cut-out wooden house is lifted into the air behind him.

Alongside the new trailer, artwork for the album has also been released, showing Styles standing on the ceiling of an upside-down living room.

2022 is set to be a busy year for the former One Direction alumnus: alongside releasing new music, he is set to be headlining the Coachella festival this April, and this year is set to star in the new queer drama My Policeman alongside Emma Corrin.

Adapted from the book by Bethan Roberts, the story follows a love triangle in the 1950s, where young woman Marion falls in love with her best friend’s brother Tom (played by Styles). However, years later he falls in love with a man named Patrick (played by David Dawson).

He’s following this up with an appearance in psychological horror film Don’t Worry Darling, which will be out in September and is directed by girlfriend Olivia Wilde.

After wrapping up his three-month US tour of Love on Tour, Styles will also be taking it to Europe in summer, and Central and South America in autumn.

In February he was seen filming a music video in central video. As part of the filming, Styles lounged on a giant bed being pulled past Buckingham Palace.

Expectation around the new album has also been gaining traction for some time: visitors to Styles’ site would see a door which opened to show a multicoloured background. Styles also launched a viral campaign directing fans to the website using the phrase “You Are Home”, leading some to speculate that this would be the name of his new album.

Though his last album came out in December 2019, a series of successful singles has also kept Styles in the headlines for the three years since, including Fine Line, Adore You and Watermelon Sugar.

Styles’ European tour begins on June 11 in Glasgow and finishes on July 31 in Portugal.
