Harry Styles praised for helping fan at Slane concert

Pop icon Harry Styles came to the aid of one of his fans who appeared to slip and fall while the Watermelon Sugar singer was performing at Slane.

On Saturday night the 29-year-old star took the stage at the iconic Meath venue blasting out hits to some 80,000 revellers, however, he stopped the fun at one point when he realised one of them had come into a spot of bother.

In footage that has surfaced of the show, the performer can be seen pointing to the crowd and moving closer to a fan who appeared to have taken a small fall.

"Give her a bit of space and water. Is everybody else good?", he asked.

Harry continued: "You good? Did you fall, is it slippy?" When the fan appeared to be okay, Styles resumed the show.

After the act of kindness, many of his fans took to Twitter to praise the star.

One said: "Harry Styles is a legend. Tonight at Slane he spotted a girl who took a slip and fall, went over to check on her and asked for someone to get her water. Fair play to him."

A second added: "Poor girl took a fall at Slane tonight cos of the rain. Harry was so kind and thoughtful, checked on her and asked if everybody else was okay."

While a third gushed: "Brilliant singer and human being. Amazing to see him at Slane Castle tonight."

There was also a moment during the opening of his show that really impressed Irish fans, as the singer spoke a cúpla focal.

While on stage, the Watermelon Sugar star told the crowd, “Céad míle fáilte”. Harry also asked the crowd: "Conas atá tú?”

He then said: “It's an absolute pleasure to be able to play for you here tonight. Are you ready?"
