Harry Styles has followed a host of celebrities who have paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following her death aged 96 on Thursday, September 8.
The 28-year-old is currently in the middle of his Madison Square Garden tour in New York City and paused the concert to mark the memory of the late monarch, on Thursday night.
In a video captured from his show, Styles was seen stood in front of a sold-out crowd as he spoke about the news of the Queen’s death: "From my homeland, there was some very sad news today, the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
“Please, join me in a round of applause for 70 years of service.”

Styles then led his packed-out congregation of fans into mighty applause for the Queen, which triggered a chorus of cheers in the arena.
Following the applause, the Adore You singer proceeded with his show.
Styles’s tribute to the Queen in New York City comes after he made a swift trip to Venice, Italy, earlier this week to attend the Venice Film Festival for his new film, Don’t Worry Darling.
Fellow musician Sir Elton John also gave tribute to the Queen as he performed in Toronto, Canada, on Thursday night.
John, aged 75, said: “She was an inspiring presence to be around… she was fantastic.
“She led the country through some of our greatest and darkest moments with grace and decency and a genuine caring warmth.”
The legendary artist continued: “I’m 75 and she’s been with me all my life, and I feel very sad that she won’t be with me any more, but I’m glad she’s at peace, and I’m glad she’s at rest and she deserves it.
“She worked bloody hard. I send my love to her family. She’ll be missed… but we’ll celebrate her life tonight with you, OK?”
John then gave a rendition of his 1974 song Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me, as images of the Queen, smiling while wearing a purple hat and coat, were displayed on screens.
The star shared on social media that he is “deeply saddened” by the Queen’s passing, as she was a “huge part of my life”.
John concluded by saying he will “miss her dearly”.
