Harry Styles Love On Tour 2022 Ibrox: Banned items, clothing and more at show

Thousands of people across Glasgow are gearing up for the one of the biggest concerts of the year with many expected to travel from afar to get a glimpse of the As It Was icon.

Starting his 'Love On Tour' journey right here in the city, Harry Styles will take to the stage at Ibrox Stadium on Saturday (June 11) alongside supporting act Mitski.

The former member of boy band One Direction rescheduled his world tour adding a further four stadiums in Europe - including a brand new show at Glasgow's Ibrox Stadium.

Unsurprisingly, tickets for the show sold out within minutes of being released to the general public.

The football stadium is said to hold over 50,000 people and traffic during the weekend is expected to be much busier than usual with organisers asking people to plan their travels in advanced.

Not only that, they are also asking people to not smoke whilst in the venue - including vaping - and to not wear domestic football tops or any tops displaying club logos as you "may be refused entry."

So if you're heading to see Harry Styles in Glasgow this Saturday, what else do you need to know?

Harry Styles Love On Tour 2022: Age restriction

In the seating area, no person under the age of five will be permitted whilst no person under the age of 14 will be allowed access to the standing area.

If you are between five and 15, you must be accompanied by an adult 18 or over at all times and one adult must be there for every four persons between this age.

Proof of ID will be required upon entry and anyone found in possession of Fake ID will be refused entry and the ID will be confiscated.

If you are found with a prohibited item, you may be refused entry or removed from the event

Banned items during the Harry Styles Glasgow gig are as follows:

  • Flares, gas or smoke devices
  • Fireworks
  • Sparklers
  • Confetti cannons
  • Chinese / sky lanterns, firewood, candles or any flames
  • Professional camera
  • Video/audio equipment - including removable lenses
  • Drones
  • Portable laser equipment
  • Laser pens
  • Air horns
  • Megaphones
  • Sound systems
  • Vuvuzela
  • Kites
  • Frisbees
  • Boomerangs
  • Spray paint cans
  • Aerosols over 250ml
  • Gazebos
  • Glass bottles, jars and containers
  • Unofficial tabards and reflective jackets (Hi-Vis)
  • Fake ID
  • Flagpoles
  • Umbrellas
  • Selfie sticks
  • Inflatables
  • Folding chairs
  • Any item that could be considered a weapon including multi-tools

According to Gigs in Scotland, "management, at its discretion, may confiscate any item that is deemed and/or suspected illegal or unsuitable. Anyone is found in possession may be arrested or refused entry to the This includes, without limitation, illegal or intoxicating substances including; Illegal drugs, “legal/herbal” highs, new psychoactive substances, nitrous oxide (NOS/laughing gas) and unidentifiable substances."

They also ask people not to bring a bag with them unless " absolutely essential" as if you bring one with you, you will be separated into bag search lanes.

Only bags smaller than 21cm x 29cm (the size of a sheet of A4 paper) will be allowed with concert-goers being reminded that there will be no storage lockers or cloakroom facilitates available at the event.

Harry Styles Love On Tour 2022: Food and drink rules

People attending the gig cannot bring any food or drink with them and if found, it will be confiscated.

If you have a medical condition that requires you to bring your own, you should contact Management in advanced via access@dfconcerts.co.uk to obtain an authorisation letter or make themselves known to the gate manager/supervisor of the Event who will assist accordingly.

A challenge 25 policy will be in operation at the bars ensuring access is restricted to persons 18 and over therefore proof of age may be required.

Gigs in Scotland adds: "Hard plastic, metal or glass water bottles or back pack hydration packs are not permitted into the event and will be confiscated and not returned.

"Please only bring 500ml empty plastic water bottles with you to fill at the various drinking water points."
