Harry Styles fans tell of horror as man falls '15 metres' from Ibrox stand

Harry Styles fans tell of horror as man falls '15 metres' from Ibrox stand during gig

HARRY Styles fans have described the horror of seeing a man fall "at least 15 metres down" from a stand in Ibrox during a live gig.

Twitter accounts of the incident tell of a man falling from the top stand of the stadium to a lower section.

Police Scotland confirmed the incident and the man was seen by medical staff at the venue.

However, some gig-goers criticised the security's response time.

One fan wrote on Twitter: "I hope the man who fell from the top stand at Harry styles’ Glasgow show is not too seriously hurt, it was fucking traumatising to see.

"The stewards were awful and apparently took forever to get to him.

"Our stand was all screaming to get them to stop the show and to get medics to the guy.

"The worst part was standing there during the final song as most of the stadium was cheering and singing to the final song while we stood in shock and tears and were screaming."

Another gig-goer commented: "They fell right in front of us and it was awful.

"They were sitting upright as we were leaving, though so I think they’re hopefully okay."

Another fan tweeted: "During the intro of kiwi someone fell from the upper section down to the lower section in front of us, at least 15 meters down.

"And security did not react until the end of the song.

"What should‘ve been the best night of my life turned into a nightmare."

However, another concert-goer replied: "Hey, I know it seemed like security didn’t react but I was next to them (the bottom tier, next to standing) and we had loads of them legging it up the stairs past us and that was about 20 seconds into Kiwi.

"They were really concerned, it just took a while cause of the distance."

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were made aware of a man falling from a club deck at a premises on Edmiston Drive, Glasgow at around 10.15pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

“There were no suspicious circumstances and the man was seen to by medical staff.”

DF Concerts was contacted for comment.
