Harry Styles fans rage as general admission Slane tickets sell out to buyers 'who don't want them'

Thousands of fans were left disappointed in their bid to snap up the more affordable general admission tickets to see Harry Styles at Slane Castle next year.

The former One Direction star will be bringing his Love on Tour concert to the iconic Co Meath venue on Saturday, June 10, 2023.

Tickets for the newly announced dates went on sale this morning at 10am and were priced from €97.10 plus booking fees on ticketmaster.ie.

As expected, the general admission tickets flew out the door and now many Irish fans are calling for more dates to be added because “the demand is huge.”

There are premium tickets still available online for Gold Circle and Pit access, however many are saying they’re not affordable for the normal person.

One Irish fan wrote: “Looks like Harry Styles #Slane general admission tickets are sold out and there are only premium tickets available for the pods or gold circle.”

Another wrote: “Gold circle and pod tickets are still there, but who is actually paying that much for a concert these days?”

Meanwhile, it seems there are many people who purchased tickets only to immediately sell them online. Twitter is jam-packed with people offering their just-bought tickets “for face value,” which has caused quite the stir online.

One begrudged fan wrote: “Why the f*ck are people buying tickets to Harry Styles at Slane castle only to immediately sell them again “at face value”? Can you just let the people that actually want to and can go access the bloody tickets??”

A second said: “Why is everyone selling their Harry Styles tickets, WHY DID YOU BUY THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE. raging.”

Earlier this week Slane Castle owner Lord Henry Mountcharles defended online backlash that Styles was playing at the iconic rock venue.

Speaking on the Brendan O'Connor Show, he praised the young artist and said that he admires his craft.

He explained: "I think he is the only man to have graced the front page of Vogue, and at the same time he is a very serious artist. What I do admire is he takes his craft very seriously.

"Everything fell together, and the level of excitement has actually even taken me aback. Calls from all over the place, people coming out from the woodwork, which as far as I'm concerned is always a very good sign.

"Harry is linked to so many strands that Slane has been about and the many artists who have played the venue. He is right up there with Queen, David Bowie, U2 and the Stones. This will be a show not to be missed. A great day out and a legend for our times."
