Harry Styles has both the biggest-selling single and album of the year to date, new figures from the Official Charts Company reveal.
As it Was - the lead track from Harry’s third solo album Harry’s House - spent 10 weeks atop the Official Singles Chart earlier this year.
With over 1.3 million combined chart units so far, driven by 149.6 million streams, As It Was boasts the accolade of the being most-streamed track of the year so far, too.
The single is also the most physically purchased (12,000 units) and digitally downloaded (47,000 units) song of the year-to-date in the UK.
It was also the longest-running Number 1 of 2022 to date.
Afrobeats star Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran are in second place with Peru with an incredible 122 million streams.
Ed Sheeran has three entries in the Top 10; alongside Peru - Bad Habits and Shivers.
Singles from Kate Bush, Glass Animals and Sam Fender are also included.
Meanwhile, Harry’s album Harry’s House has amassed 370,000 chart units since its release in May.
No other release this year has also sold more copies on physical formats (117,600 units).
Ed Sheeran's fifth studio album = (Equals) is at Number Two, having racked up 346,000 combined UK chart units and counting.
Completing the Top Ten are Olivia Rodrigo’s debut Sour, The Weeknd's Highlights, Little Mix’s Between Us, Fleetwood Mac’s 50 Years – Don’t Stop, Eminem’s Curtain Call: The Hits, Queen's Greatest Hits and ABBA Gold
Queen this year became the first album in Official Charts history to reach 7 million UK chart sales.
