Harry Styles fans have shared on social media that his concert at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen has been cancelled after a fatal mass shooting in a shopping centre nearby.
The singer wrote on Snapchat: “My team and I pray for everyone involved in the Copenhagen shopping mall shooting. I am shocked. Love H”
He later took to Twitter to share a follow-up message, saying he was "heartbroken at the events".
He added: "I’m devastated for the victims, their families, and everyone hurting. I’m sorry we couldn’t be together. Please look after each other."
Fans of the singer also took to Twitter to say that the show was off as rumours circulated and those at the Arena have been asked to leave.
One fan shared that they were told: "Tonight’s concert with the singer Harry Styles in Royal Arena close to fields is cancelled” FINALLY , I love you all pls stay safe"
Fans at the venue revealed that they were escorted out after claiming that they were previously being informed that the show would just be delayed.
There was understanding among fans with many sharing their love for those affected by the shooting.
One wrote on Twitter: "@Harry_Styles we love u so much!! what happened today was out of your control, don't blame yourself for it :( I hope u, the fans and the people who are in the venues stay safe <3"
The former One Direction star, 28, was hoping to continue his Love On Tour shows but it seems a decision has been made to call it off.
On Sunday afternoon, Danish police responded to a shooting at the Field’s shopping centre less than a mile away from the arena, which is situated on the southern outskirts of the city.
Several people have been killed with others injured, police said, while a 22-year-old Danish man has been arrested after being detained near the site.
Harry was due to take his Love On Tour show around the world in 2020 before the pandemic brought the live music industry to a standstill.
The rescheduled tour began in September 2021 in Las Vegas before heading across the US, with the European tour leg kicking off in Glasgow last month.
The singer's most recent album, Harry’s House, was warmly received by critics and lead single As It Was recently claimed its 10th week at number one in the UK.
