Harry's Razors Latest Target of Boycott Calls

As the Bud Light controversy slowly dies down, it seems that some of those calling for a boycott have their feelers out for something new to be angry about.

They may have found their newest target in a video of Harry's Razors CEO Andy Katz-Mayfield that surfaced via X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, on August 7.

In the interview, Katz-Mayfield discusses the company's parental leave, explaining how only offering parental leave to mothers had created "a really unbalanced dynamic" and how that led the company to identify that it needed what he calls "an equal parental leave policy that treats birthing and non-birthing parents equally."

While the CEO got a round of applause after explaining that Harry's Razors now offers four months leave to both women and men, the anti-woke brigade quickly deemed it unsavory, with one X user saying the company was "bout to get the Bud Light treatment."

By the morning of Aug. 7, Harry's Razors was trending on X with more than 13,000 mentions. Another user drew attention to a previous Harry's Razors social media campaign which featured a transgender man.

Social media users let loose with an outpouring of hate for the company, claiming they would boycott it or cancel their business relationships with it.
