Harry Redknapp shares epic throwback of him and wife Sandra as he announces new book

Harry Redknapp shared an epic throwback photo of him and his beloved wife Sandra as he announced a new book on marriage.

The 74-year-old former West Ham United manager took to Instagram to upload the sweet black-and-white snap as he shared the exciting news that he and Sandra have penned a new book.

Harry, who won the hearts of millions of viewers as he was crowned King of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! back in 2018, will be sharing the advice and tips he’s learnt during his 55-year marriage to Sandra.

“Sandra and I are excited to reveal that we're releasing a book together later this year sharing our love, highs and lows from 50 years of marriage,” he wrote.

“We have so many stories that we can't wait to share with you all. ‘When Harry Met Sandra’, on sale this autumn,” Harry added.

The photo shows Harry and Sandra on their wedding day in 1967, and the football pundit looks strikingly similar to his son, Jamie Redknapp.

Harry and his new bride are beaming at the camera, with Sandra rocking a fashionable high-neck white lace gown, with her hair cropped short and a floral covered veil on her head.

The couple warmed the hearts of millions of viewers when Harry took part in the ITV series in 2018, and his love for Sandra was obvious, in particular when she surprised him in the Australian jungle just days before he was crowned winner.

Harry has often sung his wife’s praises over the years, and he previously shared details of their low-key wedding, revealing guests ate sandwiches at a local members club at their reception.

They met at a local pub when they were both 17, and have been married for more than five decades.

Harry and Sandra are also parents to sons Jamie and Mark Redknapp, and they were inundated with touching messages of support as news of the book was announced.

“Now that sounds like something I’d like to read,” one of Harry’s 377,000 followers wrote.

“Lovely! I hope it inspires lots of people to stick at marriage through the ups and downs,” another added.

“Omg amazing. Love you both. Definitely buying the book,” one wrote, as another commented: “Make it a film Harry, now that would be brilliant.”
