Harry Redknapp believes Dele Alli is capable of resurrecting his career at Everton under Frank Lampard.
The former Chelsea midfielder and manager has agreed a two-and-a-half-year deal to become the next Blues, with official confirmation on his appointment expected today.
Lampard was selected as Rafa Benitez's permanent successor after also holding talks with Duncan Ferguson and Vitor Pereira, and will now begin the task of restructuring the squad.

Midfield appears to be one area in particular that the club are hoping to improve, with Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek already one player who has agreed a Goodison Park switch.
Another individual to have been linked with the Toffees is out of favour Tottenham Hotspur star Alli, who will have hopes of getting his career back on track after a testing couple of years in north London.
Once a player with the world at his feet, the 25-year-old started only seven Premier League matches in the whole of last season and has once again struggling for first-team minutes under new boss Antonio Conte.
A change in scenery is likely needed for the two-time PFA Young Player of the Year winner, and Redknapp - who is the uncle of Lampard- is adamant this is a switch that could benefit all concerned.
“Frank knows he needs some results. They [Everton] are sucked into it for sure. He’s getting the boy [Van de Beek] from Man United hopefully today, whose career needs resurrecting," the 74-year-old told talkSPORT
“His [Van de Beek] confidence is low, but there’s a footballer is there. We saw him at Ajax, the boy can really play. It’s up to Frank now to get the best out of him.
“He’s been linked with Dele Alli. I’d love to see him take Dele Alli and turn his career around.
“Dele Alli needs to get back on track. There’s a great player in there somewhere.”
