Harry Redknapp has suggested that Harry Kane could snub Manchester United in favour of Chelsea with Mauricio Pochettino set to take over at Stamford Bridge.
The Red Devils are the reported frontrunners to land Kane this summer. The 29-year-old has just over a year left to run on his current Tottenham contract and could be allowed to leave the club at the end of the season.
The forward grabbed two assists and impressed as Tottenham came from two-nil down to draw 2-2 against United in the Premier League on Thursday. However, with the Red Devils in a much more promising position to qualify for next season's Champions League, Kane might be tempted to make the switch north.
Former Spurs manager Redknapp has a differing opinion on the matter, though, and believes Kane could be tempted to turn down United if Pochettino becomes the next Chelsea boss. The Argentine is expected to take over at the Blues despite their lowly league position this season.
"It will be interesting if Pochettino goes to Chelsea," Redknapp told the Beyond The Pitch podcast. "That wouldn’t go down well with the Tottenham fans at all that's for sure.
"It's a great move for him and I think he's [Kane] building a house in that area. He's a family man and he'd be happier not moving to the north of England or wherever he'd have to go.
"I've personally got a feeling he'll stay and sign a new contract," Redknapp added. "I may be wrong but I think he could stay at Tottenham."
Kane has had an excellent campaign so far despite Spurs' recent struggles. He has netted 24 Premier League goals and is second on the scoring charts behind Erling Haaland (33).

The England international hasn't been as creative this term, grabbing just three assists but showed his worth in that sense following his performance against United. Speaking after the game, Rio Ferdinand hinted that Kane could be the perfect addition for the Red Devils this summer.
He told BT Sport : "You bring a number nine into this club who can score 20 to 25 goals, it changes a lot here. 100 percent. We may have seen the man in this stadium today."
Owen Hargreaves added: " I think he wants to win a trophy and he deserves one. I think he stays this year then leaves on a free next year. I just think the City one, that’s done, Haaland's gone there.
"I think he wants to be loyal to Tottenham but if they don't have the leadership and the management, he’ll leave them and he has every right to because he deserves to win a trophy - he's been too fantastic."
Spurs currently sit fifth, six points behind fourth-place United but Erik ten Hag's side have two games in hand on their closest rivals for a top-four finish. Meanwhile, Chelsea are 11th and just nine points above the relegation zone with six matches to go.
