Harry Redknapp believes Newcastle United star could 'get into any Premier League starting XI

Former Premier League manager Harry Redknapp has included three Newcastle United players in his Team of the Week after their performances against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Miguel Almiron, Callum Wilson and Kieran Trippier were all included in the team after their goal involvements in the 4-0 thrashing of Villa, cementing their place in their top-four.

Writing for BetVictor, Redknapp praised Almiron after the Paraguayan found his seventh goal of the campaign, the most of any in his career so far.

"He’s playing out of his skin at the moment. I can confidently say he’d get into any starting eleven in the Premier League. He was electric against Villa on Saturday, and what about that goal? Superbly taken from a player full of confidence."

Callum Wilson was Redknapp's best player of the week, after finding his fifth and sixth of the season, setting him up nicely for a chance of landing a seat on the plane to Qatar next month.

"Another couple of goals for Newcastle’s talisman. He’s thriving at the moment, and with such brilliant service coming in from behind, it’s no surprise at all. He’s playing at the top of his game. He’s my Star Man this week."

Redknapp also included right-back Kieran Trippier, whose performances in the defence have been key for Eddie Howe's side this season.

"Newcastle are flying, and Trippier has been right up there with their top performers all season long. He caused Villa all sorts of problems getting in behind and was great at the back as well. He’s got bags of experience, and it’s turned out to be a great move to get him in from Eddie Howe."

The rest of Redknapp team included Everton's Jordan Pickford and James Tarkowski, Manchester United's Lisandro Martinez, Crystal Palace's Tyreek Mitchell, Wolves' Ruben Neves, Tottenham Hotspur's Rodrigo Bentancur, Leeds United's Crysencio Summerville and Bournemouth's Kieffer Moore.
