Harry Potter star thanks Liverpool FC player after giving birth

Harry Potter star Jessie Cave has announced the birth of her baby boy as she paid thanks to Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

The actress, who is best known for playing Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film franchise, welcomed her fourth child into the world this week at University College London Hospital. The 34-year-old took to Instagram to share the happy news with fans as she posted a photo breastfeeding her newborn.

In the caption to the photo, Jessie revealed she has named her son Becker, after Liverpool FC's goalkeeper. She wrote: "Welcome Becker Brown. Thank you to UCLH. Thank you to the midwives Amy and Emi-Lou. Thank you to Alisson Becker."

The birth came just weeks after Jessie tested positive for coronavirus while in her third trimester. In a post on Instagram at the time, she wrote: "Triage, once again……Anyone else had covid in 3rd trimester & had it hit them like a tonne of bricks for weeks?"

Hundreds of people have sent their well wishes to Jessie and her family following the birth this week. Harry Potter star Anna Shaffer said: "WELL DONE TEAM!!! Gorgeous gorgeous, welcome Becker, can’t wait to meet you."

Paloma Faith said: "Wow congratulations both the tribe is steadily increasing!" David Thewlis said: "Massive congratulations to you both."
