Miriam Margolyes has been admitted to hospital with a chest infection and said she "can't come home."
The 81-year-old Harry Potter star said she must stay in hospital longer than expected. The actress, who plays Professor Sprout in the popular film series, told fans she was due to undergo a transcatheter aortic valve implantation procedure on May 5.
The procedures, often referred to as TAVI, aims to improve the blood flow to the heart by replacing an aortic valve that doesn't open fully. Miriam said she chose to go private for the £55,000 operation at the Royal Brompton Hospital.

The actress, whose mum was born in Kirkdale, was initially told she was likely to be discharged by May 7. However, doctors told her had must remain in hospital after contracting a chest infection.
In an update to fans, she thanked people for their messages and said her release from hospital has been delayed reports YorkshireLive.
She wrote: "I spoke too soon. Can’t come home yet: I have a chest infection. Probably tomorrow. But at least I’m resting. Love to all. Thank you for your lovely messages."
Fans were quick to wish her well, with one person writing: "Thanks for the update, glad you are getting time to rest even if you are being made to do it. much love rest well and then onward."
Another added: "Sending lots of nursing healing blessings your way!!," whilst a third commented: "Sorry for delay in going home. You will bounce back. Wishing you a speedy recovery."
