Here's some news for Harry Potter fans! The original Harry Potter glasses, which were worn by actor Daniel Radcliffe in the films, will be auctioned on November 11 in the United Kingdom.
Harry Potter's famous circular glasses, which will be auctioned, is one of the 57 pairs that were ordered for Radcliffe. The actor had worn them in the film 'Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone' in 2001. Interestingly, back then the glasses were bought for only 114 pounds but now it is expected to sell for approximately 20,000 British pounds (INR 1879937), as per a New York Post report.
"This is one of several pairs of glasses made for the film. Bordered in black matte finish with no nose plates...The silver metal earpiece are tipped with clear plastic... Also included are a pair of brown plastic ear tips and a copy of the film," the item's description reads, as per the report.
The year 2022 also marks the 25 years of publication of the first Harry Potter book. It is noted that JK Rowling's ' Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' was published in 1997 and the rest, as they say, is history. More recently, new Harry Potter coins were also released by the Royal Mint in honour and celebration of Harry Potter's 25th anniversary. READ MORE DETAILS ABOUT IT HERE.
