Harry Maguire has been unable to drown out his critics this season as the defender comes under scrutiny once again.
The Manchester United skipper's form is in freefall after a fantastic season last year as he led the Red Devils to a runner-up finish in the Premier League.
But, like United, he has not been able to back that up as the centre-half has endured a campaign to forget with countless errors that have cost his side dearly.
He's not the only one underperforming for Ralf Rangnick's men but he appears to be the fall guy given his £80million price from Leicester and his status as captain.
The skipper is supposed to be one of the best and most consistent players in the dressing room but that doesn't seem to be the case for Man United.

Maguire was singled out by Rio Ferdinand during United's 1-1 draw against Burnley at Turf Moor as he was at fault for Jay Rodriguez's equaliser.
The BT Sport pundit said: "There's McTominay, he's your protection, all he's got to do, Maguire, is keep pushing him away, he hasn't got to over-commit, as soon as he over-commits, it's a great piece of skill, this pass is sublime if Kevin de Bruyne does that [Weghorst pass] we’ll all be going crazy.
"This touch across Maguire takes him completely out of it. I don't think Maguire is quick enough to have got there to affect that situation once it got beyond him.
"It's about stopping it at the source, once he had the big number nine, keep him facing [away from] the goal, he's got the security of McTominay in front of him, he can deal with him a little bit, these are small mistakes leading to big moments."
It's not the first time Maguire has put in a horror performance this season.
The stopper was the main culprit against Atalanta back in November as he inexplicably lost track of Duvan Zapata who put the Italians 2-1 ahead before Ronaldo came to the rescue to secure a 2-2 draw.
Paul Scholes raised concerns about Maguire’s fitness after his performance in Bergamo as United struggled to cope with Raphael Varane’s absence after he limped off with a hamstring injury.
He said on BT Sport: “When Varane went off, it seemed to go all over the place again.
“They were really shaky, the quality in the middle of the pitch wasn’t great again, giving the ball away far too often.
“I don’t know if Harry Maguire is still injured or he has got a hangover from the Euros but he doesn’t look right. He’s not with it at the minute."
It was in the wake of these comments that Maguire responded to his critics by scoring for England against Albania after just nine minutes, before celebrating by cupping his ears.
Roy Keane ripped into the former Leicester man saying his actions were "embarrassing" as he's been a "disgrace" all season.
"When a player scores and puts his hands to his ears he's like shutting the critics up, but I think that's embarrassing, he's been a disgrace to Man United.
"He thinks he scores there he's shut his critics up, embarrassing," he said during ITV's coverage of the World Cup qualifying clash.
Maguire's form has not improved since this incident and there were warning signs that the situation would deteriorate even when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was in charge.
Maguire is the vocal leader in the dressing room, but it's claimed his poor performances led United players to ask Cristiano Ronaldo to take on a 'bigger role' following his half-time outburst in their 3-2 win over Atalanta at Old Trafford in October.
Ronaldo intervened in Solskjaer's half-time pep talk as he inspired an unlikely comeback with a stoppage-time winner.
Man Utd players then asked him to take up a 'bigger role' in the dressing room to strengthen the relationships between the players and the coaching staff, according to The Sun.
But the now 37-year-old was happy for Maguire, who as captain is typically the authoritative voice in the changing room, to continue being the central mouthpiece.
